The thing I remember from the F2F was how surprising everybody looked, but how familiar they felt. It was a great feeling.
Wee Kristin beat me -- I was just going to say, This. Very much so.
SF2F was such a blast for me. I have never ever been in a room with so many hot, funny, smart people in my life.
I suspect that the first impression for anyone who met me for the first time at the DCF2F was WHOABOOBIES!!! There were people who pouted
*cough*NoiseDesign *cough*
when they did not make an appearance at the SFF2F. I was very flattered.
Juliana was the first Buffista I met, when I happened to be in Minneapolis for a trade show, and my reaction was simply WOW.
Juliana! I'd recommend Fay's stylist, Megan, who I could guarantee would give you an awesome haircut that you'd love...but she's also in the $60 range. Don't worry - we'll track something down for you.
Where is she, and will she not fuck up my hair? I'll pay $60 (though I'd rather not) to not hate my hair.
Kristin! I was just telling Maria about getting coffee on Saturday morning, and how the guys at Cafe Roma were acting so very Italian when we walked in. (For the rest of the thread, it was a scene straight out of a movie, like the director had told them, "Be as massively stereotypically Italian as you can! Speak loudly! Gesticulate! Act as if you're about to kill the other person, and then laugh and kiss them on both cheeks!" Hilarious.)

blush I think you were the first Buffista I met too, come to think of it.
Juliana does inspire the WOW.

OMG yes. That was hysTERical.

She's at Glamarama (a very fun salon, which happens to be around the corner from where emily lives). She's an excellent listener, has low-attitude, very friendly and she has fantastic technique.
I can't be, you had knut and...crap, I'm having a memfault on names...Bridget...that's right isn't it, with you.
I can't be, you had knut and [] Bridget, with you.
That was the first time I met them, as well, so since I picked you up to go meet them, you were my first! Huzzah! Mutual cherry-poppage!
Seriously people, I am all verklempt. Thank you for saying such nice things. Can I take you all home with me? I'm sure DH won't mind. Feh on Angel slaying dragons, the Buffistas have the ability to slay the body image demons. Totally more impressive.
My first impressions of everyone were that they were magnifications of their totally hot and spicy online selves. It was the Buffistas!Live show, which for once blew the novelization out of the water. There's still so many that I have yet to meet. Quite sad-making, actually. I never met shrift or P-C the many times I was in Detroit, and the Chicagoistas get shortchanged every time I make a trip to Northbrook, because my schedule's packed so full that there's just no time for fun stuff. I lucked out in LA this summer and got to hang with part of that very cool and gorgeous contingent.
Now I'm thinking.... I KNOW! STOP THE PRESSES! Is there anyone in the Vegas area? I'll be there in January. In May, I'll be in Charlotte, and June or July, it's Orlando. Detroit and Chicago are always a given. Someone needs to send me to San Francisco and Seattle though.
