I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

in the misery-loves-company department, I'm right there with you.

Waves tiredly

Yep. I'll be here till at least midnight tonight.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

If I had your phone number, I'd have my brother call you. He's really good about birthday calls, and also sweet and good-looking and newly single.
Hey! Wasn't I supposed to get first pimping here?

....see, I think we should jello wrestle for first crack at JZ's brother. Or, no, I think y'all should jello wrestle, and I should sneak off with him while nobody's looking and ply him with Thai food and mojitos. Yes. Sounds like a plan.

Meanwhile - dude. ((Aimee's boobs))

...whaddayamean we're not supposed to use the punctuation for gropage? Pah!

Hmm. Should I nip across the road and get a couple of spring rolls for breakfast, and some freshly sliced pineapple with a baggy of salt/sugar/chilli mix?

I think I should. That sounds like the breakfast of champions to me. Yeah.

......there's a reason why my healthy living plan didn't work out, isn't there? However, in the spirit of reducing my wobbly bits to more manageable proportions, I have set myself a new target. Literally. We've got a new display in the classroom with a dart board thingy in the middle and lots of dart shapes with the kids' names on the barrels of them and a target ('to use capital letters and full stops properly' is a favourite) written on the fletching bits. I have 2 targets for me. One is 'To go to the gym 10 times' (because 'to lose .... lbs' seemed too much like setting the kids a bad example wrt body issues - plus this is one where I stand a chance of being able to move my dart towards the middle of the board reasonably quicklyish) and the other is 'to finish the first 40,000 words of my book', as I'm still hovering around 26k.

Hmm. We'll see how that goes, eh? Also? Good morning!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Having to work on weekends is just wrong.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

JZ's brother is an extremely good guy and a catch. Sly wit, easygoing. Likes the outdoorsy stuff. Very wanting the children. He calls his Mom for Matilda reports: "Is she still cute?!"

I wish I had a tenth of what you've got.

Aimee's hot and all, but don't sell yourself short. As pretty as you are in pictures, the live-in-person Maria just radiates the sexycool. (nsm the crazy)

Maria, have you met you? My main memory from reading about more recent f2fs (including the one which was your first) is seeing pictures of you and of Raq, and thinking how pretty you both are, and seeing everyone posting about the gorgeousness of you both.

Yep. The DC F2F for me was primarily about meeting Raq and Maria for the first time and getting to see Holli and Lizard. Also JohnSweden.

Juliana! I'd recommend Fay's stylist, Megan, who I could guarantee would give you an awesome haircut that you'd love...but she's also in the $60 range. Don't worry - we'll track something down for you.

Huh. Well, it's always dangerous actually naming names and there's a good example of it.

I have to say my first impressions of Kristin were: Tiny! and Wow, Beautiful! (This is sort of the Shrift/Madrigal category where you can't quite believe the person you've met online is as gorgeous as they really are. Not that other Buffistas aren't beautiful - but there were no pictures before meeting those folks. Just about everybody's initial reaction to Madrigal was, "No seriously, where's the bitter middle aged lady with the wit as dark as a black hole." Shrift was more like, "Holy shit! Why are you even talking to me. You should be talking to famous people.") Followed with a subtext of Hmmm, She Really Seems to Like the Anarchic Energy and Polysexual Perversity And I Can't Really Imagine What She's Doing In the Countryside in Connecticut.

I was only kidding! You and JZ were all glowy and honeymoony--I'm amazed you remember anything else!

I'm already in Portland. Wanna race?

I do like me the funny, witty boys.

This was pretty much my reaction when I met her. Then she fled the country sadly.
