Whoot! My Old Navy order shipped.
Also? I'm a bad mommy. I bought Em a couple of t-shirts and a pair of jeans at ON a couple of weekends ago. I totally want to return them and buy stuff for me.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

GC, does your girlfriend have her job until February (or whenever they're closing down the division)? If so, will she get the raise, for the wages she earns in the meantime? t desperately looking for less irony
This thread title really couldn't be more appropriate to my mood right now. Except I don't blame everyone else--I just blame germs as a whole. Stoopid germs.
I've taken three different kinds of meds and homeopathetic remedies throughout this morning, and although I'm less congested, the fever won't break. It's really difficult to grade with a fever.
Weep. Crawl. Blame.
It sucks that you are feeling so rotten sweetie. Hugs.
ION I sent off my information to apply for the UCI job last night and I got a reply that they got it today and the lead person there is happy I'm applying. I'm still very torn about the possibility of taking the job, but I've started the ball rolling.
UCI job?
Kristin, have you tried the home remedy of eating lots and lots of tortilla chips and fresh salsa?
Once again, I have NO motivation to work. Partially because I'm pretty sure that not all of the writers will hit the Friday deadline, but mostly because tonight is the "It's *almost* my birthday, so dress up!" event at the local goth club. I don't want to edit, I want to go play with clothes!

Are you kidding me? You have to be kidding me.
Flunk 'em all. Let the ones who have the fortitude to object to flunking get an A.
Are you kidding me? You have to be kidding me.
Hey, I had to ask.
UCI job?
They are hiring a new professor at either Assistant or Associate level in Sound Design. They just added the new program last year and my old teacher from my MFA got the job there. They are hiring a second professor this year. I had decided not to apply, but he caught me a few weeks ago and did the hard sell about the program and pressed me to at least apply. I know that he really wants me in the job, and I think the two of us would head up an amazing program, but I'm just really torn. I feel kind of bad about it because it is a feast of excess in many ways. I have a great career that is on the rise, and now I'm being courted by one of the top schools in the country to come and start up a new program, and I'm ambivalent about it. I'd have autonomy there, and I'd be able to sculpt my part of the program how I see fit. I can really see myself starting up a show control/automation program at the school. I can also see my career continuing to rise the way it has been for the past few years.
So yeah, I emailed him my resume last night which is enough for him to start a file on me as an applicant. The deadline for applicants was today. So now I just have to finish up my packet and get recommendations sent off to him.
