I got stupid. The money was too good.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've used both, and though I think I ultimately prefer Money, switching over to Quicken (which came preinstalled on my Mac) was completely painless.

I still use a little notebook as a check register. Spiral bound 3x5 cards. Each 50 pages lasts four or so years. I'm weird that way (and still off by $7.37!)

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy Birthday, Jessica!!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Happy Jess day! Hope it's wonderful--and is the start of a wonderful year!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

FYI, TBS is showing The Grinch (the cartoon) tonight at 7:30. Shockingly early for my tastes, but I'm glad to be able to tape it now for watching during the Actual Christmas Season.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Happy Birthday Jessica!

brillig

Does anyone have a huge, hard-on love of penguins? We ended up with my MIL's collection of ceramic and tiny blown-glass penguins, and I don't want to just send them to the thrift store.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, btw, connie, I just retrieved my scanner. We're on our way east for a convention & holidays now, but once we get back I should be able to see if it's functional enough to send you.
