Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
You can get that on video from Crooks and Liars, btw, for anyone who missed it.
But then you end up with Sonny Bono in Congress.
Hmm. I think you can make an argument that he's not a singer.
Hmm. Good point.
Timelies all!
Went to see Christine Lavin at the Ram's Head in Annapolis last night. Fun show, as always, and she hugged me.(I guess she's seen us enough at her shows to feel comfortable hugging us, even if she doesn't always remember our names)
You can definitely make an argument that he's dead.
Argh, so much to do today. Mostly because I did so little yesterday. And what I did do...I'ma have to repaint that wall. Not that I fucked it up, but the color, which is beautiful soft buttery yellow in natural light, has shown an alarming tendency to go all YELLOWYELLOWYELLOW when the lights are on. So I've got some other paint that's a few shades lighter and I hope it will do the trick.
But my sister's friend Ryan is coming with her tonight now, so I have to get this place company presentable before they get here. Yikes.
Brenda, it might be possible to try different lighting positions (torchierre vs center of the ceiling) and/or lamps (bulb, to most people) with a different color temperature. The ones that are marketed as true white (the bulb itself looks slighty lavender) won't make the warm colors pop as much. Compact fluorescents are usually a cooler color temp than the traditional incandescents, too.

You could put in blue or green lightbulbs instead of white....
eta: or, you know, listen to aurelia's answer, which is actually sane....

Hee. Now I want to start into my lecture about color theory and the primary colors of light vs the primary colors of pigment.
Lucky for you I need to go to work.
