That sounds great, brenda.
I am so effing tired today, I'm not sure how I'm going to make it through my staff meeting this afternoon without falling asleep. I don't understand how people go out during the week! I mean, I had plans two nights this week, but neither of them was late or anything.
OK, anyone want to lay bets on what the Friday Cephalopod will be? (Octopus, squid or other.) I'm gonna say octopus.
Cuttlefish. The most Cthulhu-like of all the cephalopods.
Oh, and I meant to say, we're in NYC this year. We'll be in Bellport on Friday, but possibly in the city on Saturday and defintely on Sunday - church, you know, at First Pres at 5th Ave and 12th. So I'd love to see folks who might be in town/in the area if we can swing it.
Oh drat! I just realized that leaving San Diego means that Thanksgiving is a total crap shoot this year. My aunt and uncle not only saved me from the other side of the family but aunt always cooked some of the stuffing, out of the bird with no celery for me. I love her for that.
Seriously, anyone who want company, but no big TO-DO is welcome to come to my place. Well, really only if you are willing to deal with my stressy packing and possibly help with last-minute stuff. But there will be pie and parade watching and football and dips and chips.
I don't understand how people go out during the week!
Aha... this is why I... don't. Or when I do, I make damn sure the plans are worth the fatigue.
Bah. I am so tired. Plus gravity is extra-strong today.
I went to bed early, but then woke up at 3:00 am and couldn't sleep. The internet was down, so I rewatched last week's BSG. Then I had weird BSG dreams once I got back to sleep.
I think I also kept having dreams about waking up last night. That didn't help any.
We now have reservations for our last 3 nights in Africa. It is a start. I just balked at booking for the night we arrive. AT 3:30AM!!! because it was the uber expensive place and was gonna be over $400 a night. I just cannot stomach that. That would sponsor a child for almost 2 years to stay with their family rather than coming to the orphanage. yeah, can't do that.
