I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Anyone wants to, they're welcome in SF for our Orphan's T-Day. A bunch of food & bar industry types cooking & baking for their friends. Food is gonna be gooooooood, booze will be copious, avoidance of cranky-making people will be total. The best bit is that it's being hosted by a Canadian and an Irishman.

It's nice to be looking forward to T-Day again.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

or did they cancel something again?
House was interrupted for twenty-five minutes of election returns. Last week's didn't tape, this week's missed most of the actual story. So I hate my tv right now and Fox especially.

Though ABC is coming in second with GA stupidity.

Okay, I am calling my new ship on GA. From now on, it is Addison / Callie for me.

People on this show have *got* to stop annoying me.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

msbelle is wise in her holiday choices. I predict a wonderful Christmas.

3) You don't have to go home

YOU don't, perhaps, but in my case spending the holiday away from both sides of the family would needlessly offend a lot of people I love. Otherwise I'd be going to the mountains this year.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'll be working through the day before Thanksgiving (have a big changeover to clear the databases on the following Monday), so turkey day will be driving down to Dad's for food and football, and then back to my place to put up my tree on Friday.

Christmas is going to be at Mom's--she's giving me the airfare for Christmas, and I don't want her to be alone that week since it'll be her first Christmas since her husband died.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That sounds very nice, juliana. My T-day plans were all set up to my liking, but now my sister is starting to introduce complications, and I'm having a very hard time not getting pissy about it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Looks like Thanksgiving will be at my MIL's house. Whether there will be anyone besides us and my MIL, I dunno. At least there's a convention that weekend...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

No T-Day plans at present. I'm not sure if I should try to make a long drive to see family or not. sigh

You could always hang with me, mom, and dad. We're doing a small Thanksgiving this year, filled with CRAFTS! I'm all about the crafts with my turkey day.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Thanksgiving's our one big family reunion of the year. (Well, we sort of had one for my cousin's wedding in late July, but Dad wasn't well enough for my parents to make it.) Hopefully everything will work out for me to drive the folks up to Poplar Bluff this year.
