Oh lord. So I went to look up what was going on with one of the NM congressional races (too close to call, will probably require recount and hey, maybe they'll decide to flip a coin!) and my mom's school district has suspended the Super again. She's been there all of 4 months and they hired someone with a reputation for shaking things up. To shake things up. Which she did. And they freaked. Like they always do. I swear, that district eats superintendents.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
More like motivated go-getters.
That's the phrase I was looking for.
I think Corwood and brenda have covered everything I was going to say.
Yeah, I know. The conversation turned from everyone gawking at the freepers and saying how hate filled and vile conservatives could be to comparing Big Talking heads. I was never talking about the Big Talking Heads, just saying I've seen liberals be as vile on the internets, too, and that it pisses me off more when people I largely agree with are hateful, than it does when it's coming from people I never agree with.
Uh, random LGFer?
Daisy, what's an LGFer?
The Little Green Footballers.
I get you, Cindy. I never like to read hateful rants, either, especially in the service of something I agree with. It's definitely human to wish ill on others, but I wish that those aligned with what I consider the more humanist political positions could keep those thoughts on the inside.
Um, that's NOT a person's name, right?
All I'll say is that my lunch came slathered in peanut sauce.
My stomach is actually churning with excitement.
And hope. C'MON VIRGINIA!

I'm trying so hard to avoid calling up some conservative-leaning friends and doing an "In your FACE!!!" It's much harder than I would have anticipated, given that I'm being very cautious in my optimism.
And hope. C'MON VIRGINIA!
Yes Buffistas, there is a Santa Claus.
Hey, once O'Malley is sworn in, Baltimore will have its first ever female mayor.
Yes Buffistas, there is a Santa Claus.
Not yet there ain't. He's still cramming his fat ass down the throats of the current administration.
When he pops out wearing blue, I'll believe.

Maybe, I'll bet the same thing happens as in the big media. Yeah some vile things are said by both sides, but the vile things on the left side of the spectrum are said on obscure blogs nobody pays attentions to, and in unmoderated comment sections - where on the right some of the most vile things are said by high ranking bloggers.
