"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I thought Ken Mehlman was going to swallow his own tongue on the Today Show when he told Matt Lauer the president was "looking forward to working with Nancy Pelosi." I'll bet he is, Ken. I'll bet he is.

I guess he left off the "with dread" part of that sentence.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I mean, do they believe that if the go to the store and pay for a TV with a credit card, the TV is free?

Of course, there are some people who do.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Perception has a way of dominating the discussion, although I suspect Allen is a big enough asshole to push the recount even if it's against him.

Not to mention the criminal investigations of voter fraud and intimidation -- all of which were aimed at reducing the Democratic turnout.

GO BACK TO BELGIUM, HIPPIE!!!!

Fries. Waffles. Beer. Short train ride to various spots in the Netherlands, France, Germany. Marriage ceremony.

What's the downside?

Oh, hey, I just noticed that Harold Ford lost. Too bad -- I bet he could have stayed in the House forever.

I have read some RIdiculous and easily as vile things on liberal blogs over the past 6 years.

No kidding. Neither republican nor democrat has a monopoly on the crazy. I try not to froth. It's hard sometimes, but really, it's just messy and looks bad on me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I would agree, but I'd argue that there's more of the crazy, the hate, on Republican blogs.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I saw Carville say that if he were in Allen's place he would use his legal right to demand a recount. He doubts it will do him any good; recounts tend to produce Democratic gains - but when it is that close you won't know until you try.

But I'm with you on the investigation and indictments. I also wonder if we can have some investigation of Lieberman's nearly $400,000 "petty cash" slush fund.

mmmm, now I want frites and beer.

To be fair, I was saying this in 2004. :)

This is sadly true. Including launching bile at those on the left who are NOT LIKE THEM (moderates howling for Naders head six years later; Naderites still trying to sell the "there's no difference between 'em" meme).
