Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

NBC is calling the MD governor's race for O'Malley, and the Senate seat goes to Cardin. Webb/Allen in VA is still too damn close to call.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just got an email from one of the first year associates, asking this:

Are you related to Randy [my last name], R, Texas, who won the District [#] House race?

I really really want to tell him "no, we don't allow Repubs in my family". I wonder what will happen.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

It was so foggy in KC this morning that I actually had a hard time finding my polling place! It was a new one for me. They had one touch screen and everyone else was getting scanner papers. they handed us the paper and we had to wait for a booth, until one poll worker started telling people they could sit at tables that didn't have the privacy boxes if they wanted to.

I got a hand cramp from the tiny pencil, and as I was leaving I saw people marking their ballots on the wall, instead of waiting for a table. Crazy.

I'm considering having a beer. I wish I had The Daily Show instead.

ChiKat, two precincts vote in my middle school which appear to be demographically quite different (I was the only pasty white other than a new young election judge in my precinct while I was there. Not unusual. The other precinct? Pasty people in orthodox dress.) Sorta squat between two precincts, while not a half mile away is another polling place in a high school heavily tended towards the local Jewish community (judging by the hats in line.) Suspect it is all about available properties in an area in relation to the nearest district line. I also wonder about transport lines. Cause that damn well ought to be a consideration.

Our wings are not tired.

Well thankfully Katherine Harris is getting her ass handed to her on a plate, without an after dinner mint.

Watching karma work its magic on Katherine has been a delight.

I was hoping for a surprise win for Davis. Really I think Smith would have done better against Crist. Oh well. I won't miss JEB!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Supposedly this is the biggest mid-term voter turnout since '72. Or so a Republican whatsit said to Wonkette....

Hrm. Hope. 30 minutes ago, it wasn't. I think it largely depends on Baltimore City and Montgomery County. I'll wake up to it, uh huh. NO TV.
