For nitpickiness's sake--it's non-US residents that are required to scan fingerprints digitally before entering.

Huh. I wonder if my brother has to do that.

Coming in from Canada? You know, I'm not sure. Probably not right now. Maybe later.

I think they might make naturalized Canadians do that. (esp. people of certain ethnicities or countries) But I don't know about the rest of us. I do know there's a big wrangling over future requirements for passports to be required at the border.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I thought they were putting them in ears now, to prevent the chips from migrating too much? Or do I have that backwards?

Hmmm... my boss's dog is here. I'll check her ears next time she comes over.

Okay, this is just cool: [link]

If I were talented (and more egocentric), I'd use it as a basis for a new LJ layout. So pretty!

Sun can be quite interesting to watch. We used to have a realtime sun channel up at the solar observatory. I still find it amusing. (Everyone had free satellite tv on base, so they just threw in the feed from the main telescope pointing camera. In case, I dunno, you needed to make sure the sun was still there?)

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

It's 12:50. When will I get to work?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have to reschedule another meeting. The most inaccessible guy in the department actually has a perfectly good reason for being inaccessible now. Which makes it even more frustrating.

Aunty Entity? Okay, too complex, but wouldn't that rock?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

March 23rd, 2009.

My 43rd birthday!

I've got the best idea for a Halloween costume, and am thinking about having an early party. My mom's coming into town on the 28th, so no parties that weekend.

Would anyone dress up for a Halloween party on October 21st, or is that too early?

Give it to me! I want it!

is that too early?

I think so. I'd feel weird.

God only knows, because that site MADE MY EYEBALLS BLEED FROM MY EYEBALLS.

Actually, it wasn't quite that bad, but it will be the ugliest thing I see all day.
