Well, I guess some Christians are more into the "bring them hither and slay them before me" parts of the Bible than the "love thy neighbor" parts.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

For nitpickiness's sake--it's non-US residents that are required to scan fingerprints digitally before entering.
Huh. I wonder if my brother has to do that.
they are the non-red-letter "Christians". I do believe Jesus took people like them to task back in the day.

Yeah. Just part of the religious right's attack on the judge, rather on what he wrote. But really, that's all they have, as his decision was so well written and it anticipated likely criticisms and refuted them.
From the article on the Judge death threats:
He said much of the criticism showed a lack of understanding about the role of judges, who he said should rule based on the Constitution and legal precedence - not on personal whims or political favors.
Good point.
Remember when Republicans stood for the Constitution and legal precedence? (OK, that's not entirely fair - I'm sure there still are some Republicans who feel that way.)
is it weird that I am afraid of putting his pic in any unlocked web place?
Naw, I think that's the protective mom instinct! (Not that I'm not wanting to see pictures of the little guy too!!)
But it makes me sad to see a legendary improvisor (and maybe the only one on the cast) playing a hack.
Though it's nice to see one getting a check! (and, hey, it shows range)

It's not weird. I used to feel that way when Emmett was little, little. But now I don't worry about it too much.
It's more that I am not the legal guardian yet. I am gonna put up something friendslocked on lj. if you are not on lj or think I don't have you on my flist, email me. To be fair I have not looked at my flist in probably a year, so it lacks lots of people prolly.
I wonder if my brother has to do that.
Coming in from Canada? You know, I'm not sure. Probably not right now. Maybe later.
Gack. Googled. Apparently they will expand it to non-citizen residents, and then there's this opinion presented in a Washingto Post article:
Marc Rotenberg, executive director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, warned that fingerprinting could soon expand to U.S. citizens inside the borders. He cited the Real ID Act, which requires states to set more stringent standards of proof for driver's licenses and include two biometric measures by May 2008. He expects that this fall the Homeland Security Department will propose that those be a photograph and, most likely, fingerprints.
