Maybe "eat" isn't technically correct, but when they're not biting people, they live in soft furnishings. They burrow in deep and are damn-near impossible to get rid of.

I ate vegan tonight. As opposed to eating a vegan, which I'd highly recommend if your plane crashes in the Andes. Less gamey than the alternatives.

Last con I was at, an aquaintence scared off a guy that was hitting on her by saying "I'm a vegantarian". When he asked her what that meant, she replied. "I only eat vegans." At which point the guy made his excuses and left quickly.
Of course, in a con environment, that could also have easily back-fired.
