To put tommyrot's quote in context, from the same article:
CNN has also been down steeply this year in total viewers and 25-54s but not as much as Fox, and in October its 25-54 primetime audience was essentially flat at down 1 percent.
And both Headline News and MSNBC were actually up in that demo last month, by 18 percent and 19 percent.
So, yeah, indicators say that's likely the reason.

I'm pretty sure I had chaps as a kid. I think I may have lacked a certain amount of cowgirl credibility, though, because I'm also pretty sure they were red corduroy, and thus, not particularly functional.
I cannot comment on the ass portion, though, because I was a child and that would just be inappropriate.
Oh, and the news shows are all down in our demographic because we're all freaking watching TDS & Colbert!

Um, ok in latest news of my asshole teenage neighbors, they had another cautionary visit from the cops. Seriously, I saw one of their buddies pissing on a tree the other night. So. Do I call 311 and report (knowing the cops are anal around here due to, gulp, 3 arsons)? Or wait until they are acting up again? Or leave an anonymous note on their parents' door? The hesitancy comes from the fact they've seen me witnessing all this, thus I don't really want to invite crappy ass, juvenile retaliation. God. I hate people.
