Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hey - Gus is here. What have you been up to?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

oooh, I have a roast chicken in the fridge to be converted to matzo ball soup.

I like the idea of chinese. Maybe lo-mein with lots of veggies. Lee knows what's for dinner.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

YAY ME!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I need to roast a chicken. Maybe this weekend, maybe not. It's so good!

oh my. 2 people gave notice last week. ANd I just got told that another is giving notice on Monday. All different depts. but we are only an office of 18.

Yikes. Double yikes to brenda.

A different kind of yikes than ita's fangirl, though. Well, not ita's fangirl, but you know who I mean.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have all those departments and it's just me and the SO. We embrace our complexity.

I think having the smell of soup simmering in the background would be very conducive to holed-upness and writing. Just something comforting in that.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

t embraces Liese's complexity, in a way that doesn't want her SO want to squish my nose

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sheeit. Just remembered I'm still short a leash. For some reason I will be leading a naughty schoolgirl on a leash at the krav Halloween party. I don't think it was my idea, but it's too late now.

The schoolgirl in question is actually a schoolgirl--she's our youngest instructor at 17. Our basic goal is to encourage men to have thoughts of which they are ashamed.

I think we have a good chance of success.

Finally got a little into On Demand. Looks cool, but a wee bit clunky passing it through the TiVo. And my digital cable seems to hiccough a bit too much.

It took me forever to work out what this was.

I think Brenda should work together with Sophia on the "craxxy people I have worked with/for" book.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would like to contribute a sidebar on craxxy bosses I have had. I've had both the boss who was soothed by my presence in her office, so I had to sit there while she worked, and the the boss who was (apparently) scared enough of me that he took his laptop to someone else's office to hide while he worked! Not to mention my current benignly crazy boss.
