Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

Mostly lurking...

Happy Birthday, brenda! Hope you have a fabulous day!

When the word "grand-dog" first came out of my mother's mouth, I knew I was in the clear. Not that I was concerned - my mom wasn't the type to pressure on that sort of thing - but still.

Heh. This cracks me up, because my mother absolutely REFUSES to be called the dog/cats Grandma. But, dad INSISTS on being Grandpa. So, they're Grandpa and Kathy, which just must sound so freaking funny to other people when we say it. I mean, it cracks me up.

I am totally a dog mom, though. I catch myself sometimes and think, "Oh, stop that!" But, then, he's so cute. I can't help myself sometimes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, brenda! I hope you get something better than stories about your crazy job that are funnier for people not-there!

Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy Birthday, brenda! May the office drama remain amusing and, more important, have no negative consequences for you.

I don't mind the dog mom and cat dad stuff unless the person actually seems to believe that the dog or cat is their actual child. However, I have heard someone casually say-- "Oh, my son had worms, so I had to take him to the vet"-- I get very confused.
