I just saw my very first bit of (any) Dr. Who the other night (aside from a vague memory of the 70s Doctor with freaky big hair) -- the one at Versailles, with Madame du Pompadour. I was fascinated -- and then I got interrupted. But I'm feeling like I may need to get on the Dr. Who train.
Like I need another show.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
The actress who played Mme du Pompadour is Sophia Myles, who is David Tennant's girlfriend. She is also a very good actress--she ALMOST made her role in Tristan und Isolde beleivable, no small feat. I loved this week's episode muchly.
