Kristin -- "taking [it] back"?

The status is NOT quo.

Vortex, no--this is an actual sociological term, nothing colloquial. ACK it is making me MAD!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Kristin, I think the word is, um, "reclaim".

Nope. There's another term. I'm going to wake up screaming it in the middle of the night, I just know it.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Kristin, is it code-switching?

Cash, closer, but no. One word. What is making me batty is I know it is discussed in a book that I own.......that is right now at work.

I'm trying to walk away now.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Lee also had lots of fun with the very cold snow. Shoving balls of it down my shirt, to be precise. 'Cause we actually left the house a few times.

YOU STARTED IT.

Also, I knew we should have taken outside pictures. Maybe then Cass would believe us.

Welcome back msbelle!

I'm trying to walk away now.

Now I'm dying to know what the word is.

This is the closest I can come to race-talk: a guy I used to know is, last I heard, into demolition derbies now.

Which would be a pretty cool thing if he wasn't, like most of my high school friends, a shitty friend. But I must say that he was an excellent driver even back in HS, so the derby thing does kind of fit. I mean, he would do terribly dangerous things, but I felt much safer riding in a car where he was doing driving crazily than I did with other friends who didn't do crazy things but also weren't skilled drivers.

Diagram that, if you dare.

[I would also like bonus points for tying those things together. Kthxbye.]
