Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Too bad about the obligatory talking animal

She is a talking animal, isn't she?

Okay, so who can tell me what the best kinds of things there are to buy at Trader Joe's? We've got one opening up here TODAY!

Our standard TJ's purchase always includes Dr. Prager's veggie burgers, the frozen orange chicken for emergency dinners, fizzy water, Luna/Cliff bars, a few flavors of Barbara's cereals and wines with labels that amuse us. Then I throw anything that intrigues me on top of that.

She does look odd, but I was actually referring to the weasel-thing in the fez.

I love a world where I can type sentences like that.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I was actually referring to the weasel-thing in the fez.

I was thinking it looks like a cross between a monkey and a ferret.

I like the TJ's sprouted wheat bagels, plain, sesame seed and cinammon raisin. They also have a nice variety of teas and frozen dinners.

Art Crawl!!!

They've got good (and cheap) peanut butter and lots of grains. . . plus delicious organic dark chocolate bars.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Trader Joes = SIMMER SAUCES. The green curry sauce over tilapia (which TJs has frozen) is the best quick & easy dinner in the world. And the peanut-butter filled chocolate-covered pretzels, which are the best snack food EVAR.

ION, this is just creepy:

A US man has been stabbed in the chest by a stingray which leapt on board his boat in Florida.

US officials say they are shocked at the attack on Mr Bertakis.

"It was a freak accident," David Donzella, acting fire chief in Mr Bertakis' hometown of Lighthouse Point, was quoted as saying by the Associated Press news agency.

"It's very odd that the thing jumped out of the water and stung him. We still can't believe it," he said.

If you like soda at all, TJs invariably has good sodas for cheap. My two personal favorites are Hansen's sodas, which are caffiene free (okay, maybe not for everybody), preservative free and sodium free, also completely free of artificial colors (all flavors are clear).

And if you're not a diet soda drinker, you'll probably appreciate this -- TJ's carries sodas from Boylan Bottleworks, including a ginger ale and a black cherry soda, which are sweetened only with actual sugar, no high fructose corn syrup. It tastes much better than any syrup-sweetened soda. Boylan sodas do come in diet varieties.
