He got the promotions because he was as devious as hell. He was also one of those people with a freaky talent for remembering names. He could recognize at least a third of the 12,000 people in the company, and usually remembered what they did and some other personal detail about them.

I would have been here at 8AM had my battery not died, necessitating calling roadside assistance for a jump, and then sitting at NTB for an hour and a half while they replaced the battery.
