Re: nuclear dreams and memories, I don't recall ever having apocalyptic dreams, but I did read On the Beach for 7th grade English class. That was my first nuclear-themed book, and definitely told me that nukes are No Good. This was in 1978-79, so No Nukes rallies were pretty common on the news. I had a bit of cognitive dissonance because my dad worked at the local nuclear power plant, so I was aware that some nukes were Good, as long as they kept Dad employed. A few years later, I saw Threads, which freaked me out much more than The Day After did. Then, during college, I saw Testament, and that just depressed me to no end.
megan, it sounded to me like they did both: investigated the accusations, and went through the receipts.
Tom, those pictures are awesome! I'm very impressed with the Bronx Zoo. The habitats they have look very natural and well thought out. I think I liked the butterflies best, though. So colorful.
I would guess that they could make some determination if the amount he paid out jibed with what he brought with him, but how else are they going to investigate? I think that they would have checked the receipts anyway, since staying within the budget was part of the challenge.
Timelies!

A guy we work with had his website profiled on ABC news. Funny stuff: [link]
Amusing, but somehow I'm a bit aghast that reading a web site aloud passes as news. Also that Charles Gibson is a twelve year old.
Don't they mean "majesty"? [link]
Heh. Wouldn't you think a simple spell check would catch that one?
