Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Addicts" showed signs of compulsive internet use, habitually checking e-mail, websites and chat rooms.

Do they start to twitch and sweat profusely when they can't get to their favorite sites?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

BTW Jessica, I loved the participation inequality link in Bureaucrazy.

Oh, thanks! I was wondering if it would generate any discussion, but I guess we've all been over that ground too many times.

Yeah, I can live without hearing "social equity" or whatever that phrase was again.

Which season was that so I can track down the DVDs?

Um, I think the bit with Ducky was in the very beginning of season three, although you'll probably want to check out the end of season two for more of the sexy terrorist backstory.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Maybe Chicago is instituting random security checks the way they are on the MBTA in the Boston area.

In that case, I do not think "random" means what they think it means.

Do they start to twitch and sweat profusely when they can't get to their favorite sites?

Hey! We resemble that remark!

Gosh, darn, I guess I need to see all of NCIS. Which is why there are DVDs.

I'm really hungry. I'm trying to decide what to get for lunch. I've narrowed it down to "meat." Perhaps a hunk of cow.

Officials at an elementary school south of Boston have banned kids from playing tag, touch football and any other unsupervised chase game during recess for fear they'll get hurt and hold the school liable.

Recess is "a time when accidents can happen," said Willett Elementary School Principal Gaylene Heppe, who approved the ban.
