Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I did laundry. Now I'm trying to find the will to fold and put away.

I'm almost over the cold, but the antibiotic (that I finally broke down and got) is kicking my ass. I'm woozy and dopey, and a couple of the other dwarves too.

What is even happening?

Oh, there's still a little new thread smell left.

hey cindy. What does your tag mean?
Sorry, kat. I went away. The tag ("Lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch'entrate") is from Dante's Inferno: Abandon all hope, you who enter here.

I came across it one day, when I was just waking up to the fact that I'd been feeling sorry for myself a lot (out there in the real world, and for no reason), so I took it as a tag to help me remember facing life's regular ups and downs isn't quite the same as facing the gates of hell.

(Usually.)

If Scooby Doo taught me anything, it's that the only thing to fear is real-estate developers.Lisa Simpson

ita, you're beginning to be a House case now. Who have you been creeping with and not saying anything?(I kid, of course, but that's the kind of stuff that happens to the POTW.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I should be doing work and laundry. What I really want to be doing is lying down on my bed. Going out to lunch should not be tiring. Hmm. I think I'm not all the way better yet, which is REALLY ANNOYING. Maybe I'll take a sick day tomorrow? That seems ridiculous, but then I could both rest and get stuff done. Stupid insisting on seeing friends!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I think, if I'm crazy, I may get an extension on this paper, so it's no big if I am, but does anyone remember a poll a while back on support in various countries for evolution? I can't find any such thing.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Hello, new thread.

From the NYT:

WASHINGTON (Sept. 24) — A stark assessment of terrorism trends by American intelligence agencies has found that the American invasion and occupation of Iraq has helped spawn a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks.

No. Really? We couldn't possibly have anticipated that! </bitter sarcasm>
