You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Speaking of season premieres, I think ER's is the best I've seen so far this autumn.

It was intense.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Fisher Price's website lists the new TMX Elmo doll for $40. Someone is listing it here on Craigslist for $150. What is wrong with people?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Someone is listing it here on Craigslist for $150. What is wrong with people?

Capitalism. Demand and supply. At least out here, there are NONE. They were gone in 20 minutes.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

TMX Elmo doll

My Mom showed up at her local Target (or Target-like store) for the early opening on the day it came out to get it for my niece for Christmas. She was the only one there. Hahahahahahaha!

At least out here, there are NONE. They were gone in 20 minutes.

I'll have to tell her this so she knows it sold out somewhere.

Oh god, not another run on the Elmos? I thought I heard a news promo about death threats and Elmo the other night, but I figured I'd conflated two different stories due to the Elmo freakouts of a few years back.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

TMX Elmo doll

Brain reads "TMI Elmo".

Brain runs screaming.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My sister bought Owen a "E-L-M-O" Elmo doll and it's complete shit. It catches and its arms always screw up when it's supposed to form the letters to his name. It's close to one of the worst toys I've ever seen. I can't imagine this one.

Owen's favorite is a small, stuffed Elmo that he sleeps with. It doesn't do anything but cuddle (which I am thankful for).

People are craxy.

As, apparently, are all my extra apostrophes.

giraffe mode

Oh I heard a news snippet yesterday that some guy in Florida (??) pulled a gun on another guy over the last new Elmo. All I could think was LORD it's only September!! How much worse will it be in December. Plus? The new Elmo is at least a thousand times more annoying than the last because you've got that creepy laugh and it rolls around..*shudder* When we saw it on GMA, my mom and I said at exactly the same moment "the batteries would be out of that in 10 minutes".

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

From the New Hampshire Fish and Game Departments:

Teddy Bear Kills Fish!

By Robert S. Fawcett, Hatchery Supervisor

On Wednesday, September 6, 2006, a TEDDY BEAR released by person or persons unknown stopped the flow of water to a circular pool at Milford Hatchery, killing 2,500 rainbow trout. WATER FLOW in hatcheries IS LIFE SUPPORT TO THE FISH! Stop that flow, which delivers the dissolved oxygen required for fish respiration, and the fish suffocate and die. RELEASE OF ANY TEDDY BEARS into fish hatchery water IS NOT PERMITTED. Please think before you act. If a teddy bear is dropped accidentally, find a fish culturist and tell them quickly, so they might save your teddy bear, and keep it from becoming a killer. Thank you.
