Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

Huh. I didn't realize that Amber Tamblyn was Russ Tamblyn's daughter.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Morning! Nilly, I hope your all-nighter went okay.

I am too tired to be at work.

Regarding dishwashers: with four people living in an apartment designed for two people, plus our varying entourages, a dishwasher is a necessity. Now, the trick is getting any of us to actually *run* it, which generally occurs only when we realize that we don't have any clean dishes left.

Regarding BSG: It's entirely the fault of Steph that I started watching in the first place. She had the miniseries and the entire first season and was like, "You want?" I rarely pass up media, much to my woe and lack of time, but I copied it and eventually got around to watching it right before the second season started. It's intense, and probably wouldn't be my first choice of fandomy show, but you can't beat it for a hot-ass cast and interesting themes. Now, I have the premiere eps on my computer but haven't watched them yet. That's on the table for this weekend. Though I need to watch the last two webisodes too. I don't usually watch clip/catch-up episodes. If I need to know what's going on, I go online first to get the general lay of the land and then get the back catalogue of episodes/media. The only shows I've ever went into without seeing the episodes previously were Farscape, and by that point I knew enough about the show from what everyone here was saying that it was pretty easy to get into (though I got the back catalogue at the same time and started watching seasons 1 and 4 simulataneously), and NCIS, which doesn't really require explanation.

Amusingly, I think *Steph* still hasn't watched the BSG episodes she has.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Timelies!

Once again, Chumley fell for the "pill left amongst the very delicious cat treat crumbs" trick. He's too dumb to even wonder why he's being praised for gobbling down his treats.

Thanks, SA. It ended up not really being an "all nighter", because I just fell asleep for 2 hours when I went home in order to run some errands, change and srrange some stuff before shabbat/the holiday. However, those 2 hours were apparently magical, since I'm functioning perfectly, my fingers don't feel like a bunch of ton-weighing-noodles when I try to type, and I don't repeat to myself more than twice an hour that I just have to pull through until shabbat starts this afternoon.

Of course, I'll be back here to finish on Saturday evening, once shabbat is over. I even already bought myself the compensatory chocolate in advance.

However, this post is so not about me! Matt's amazing cake from yesterday was almost worthy of the occasion, because according to the Buffista Calendar, today is a triple Buffista birthday! Yup, Matt, Cashmere and megan walker were all born today.

So, happy birthday Cashmere! Happy birthday, megan! Happy birthday, Matt! Lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year to all of you!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Happy Birthday, Matt!!!

I'm glad you got some sleep, Nilly.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Matt!

I think two hours when it's already getting light out still counts as an all-nighter.

What a beautiful picture, dcp.

So, did you midwest-istas end up with snow sticking? I just heard they're getting two feet in Buffalo! Earliest Lake Effect snow ever!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Happy Birthday, birthday mates, Matt the Bruins fan and megan walker! (and my twin sister!)

sj, thanks! Also, it's already the weekend here, and from Friday evening to Saturday evening, because of religious reasons, I don't work, so I plan on lots of sleep (which I'll probably need on Saturday night, but I'm totally not going to think about it now).

How are you doing, by the way? It's been quite a while since I posted with you.

I think two hours when it's already getting light out still counts as an all-nighter.

But my lips don't feel like they're made of lead and my fingers don't feel like noodles whi weigh a ton each and therefore can't align themselves and my eyelids don't need constant convincing to stay up.

In Hebrew there's an expression for an all-nighter - "white night". Maybe what I had was an off-white night, or a baige night? Hmm.

What is even happening?

Happy Birthday, Cashmere!!!

Happy Birthday, Matt!!!

Happy Birthday, megan walker!!!

Nilly, I'm glad the two hours worked wonders for you. I was catching up on the thread, and trying to remember the last time I had to stay up, then tried to remember the last time I had to stay up for a reason other than tending to a sick child or hungry/fussy baby (since both reasons do allow for a bit of lying around, the next day). All I could remember is how tired I would be. Once in a while though, I would get that elusive second wind, and feel much better than expected.

I think we should all continue to convince Cindy that she won't like the show. Reverse psychology!

Oh oh. Now I hates BSG and will devote my life to seeing it wiped from the schedule and your minds. Mwahahahaha.

It's funny, for a few years, Buffy and Angel were the only shows we watched with any actual interest, and were the only shows we worried about missing. If Scott hadn't wanted to give 24 a try, I think there would have been a season where we watched nothing. This year, we're television addicts. I kind of don't like it. It's too much. I have all these stories swirling around in my head.

Jericho is making me doubt any taste I thought I had. I'm ridiculously interested in it, even though when I look at it, it's chocked full of flaws that should make me hate it.
