Shit. I'm sorry, ita.
This may be useless, since I haven't the faintest idea what you do besides "magic computery things," but my brother's company appears to be looking for a software engineer. They're out in Redlands, though. But I know they do telecommuting.
"References available on request" is a perfectly acceptable thing. And now you should go hit people.
Oh fuckity, ita. Not good news.
What kind of severance are you getting, ita?
Well, crap. I'm sorry, ita. This is not a happy Monday Mystery Meeting.
I'm sorry to hear that, ita. Go forth and beat the shit out of the job market.
I can't think of a better way to say it, so Ima point at erika and say, "What she said!"
Thanks for the sympathy, guys.
I applied for one job, updated my resume on a couple sites, and have some homework to do for my recruiter.
Connie--2 weeks. What's kinda shocking is that that's the maximum standard severance at the company (not that I was paying any attention before). I'm sure the higher management might get golden parachutes, but there's some room between me and them, and two weeks isn't
that
much money.
Oh, ita, that sucks royally. Good luck with the search.
So sorry about this, ita. Good luck with the job search.
two weeks isn't that much money
Oh man, ita so sorry. Two weeks is paltry. In our crappy industry it's usually 2 weeks plus a week for every year with the company. I don't advise anyone to go into the shipping industry though, especially where I work...ugh and yek!
