Job ~ma, ita. May you find something quickly, sign a contract and then postpone your start date for a month or two so you can enjoy the un-scheduled life.

For what it's worth, I've noticed that there are a lot more women doing the IT work for various companies these days. In my last incarnation of serious tech support, about four years ago, people would occasionally be surprised to find a woman helping them. I don't get that anymore. So I guess the struggle has made some progress, sisters.
Now I want to go home and take a nap.
Damn, ita. That utterly sucks. I am both sorrowful and rageful on your behalf, but in a hugless fashion.
I blame shrift, really. She just took all my ex-MI mojo.
Seriously. Is there some universal law that only one ex-MI Buffista at a time can be peacefully and happily employed or something?
::gives universe a squinty glare::
Oh man, ita. Good luck.
Damn, ita. That sucks. I hope this turns out to be one of those blessing-in-disguise things. May you get something way better and thumb your nose at your former employers.
Oh god, ita, that's awful news. I'm so sorry.
I'm crossing my fingers for you that you find something better quickly. Which I have faith that you will do since you rock mightily.
ita, good luck finding new work. Tons of job~ma to you.
Damn, ita. Just....damn.
I do agree with Connie -- maybe you can get a little extra rest in, for the time being.
That's a hell of a Monday Mystery Meeting.
May you find something better soon, with no more need to go alla way out to Simi.
It's beginning to hit me now, which is a shame, since I'd have preferred to make it to krav and get some endorphins into my system first.
I promised myself to not net-jobhunt until tomorrow, but I can't really relax so I might as well. I feel like a total n00b, not someone who did this in bulk four years ago.
If a job opening that is the closest thing to right you've seen so far asks for two management references, do you sling off your resume without them? I don't even know about getting two references--my previous (har) employers don't give any, and my other job had just the one manager. I could try and track down my the manager at my previous (ouch) gig who got fired way before I did, but it's not something I can bank on.
Ah, fuck it. I'm putting a line in saying contact me for more info. If I'm that good a fit, they will. If I'm a bad enough fit because or despite that, then they'll just be one more person I never hear back from.
Man, I really wanted to make it to exercise before the headache started worsening.
