Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I am busily cleaning house in an effort to redeem myself for having wasted all day yesterday. Putting away summer clothes, getting out fall clothes, and filling a big bag for Goodwill with WTF clothes. WTF was I thinking, WTF am I keeping this for, and WTF this will never fit.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Ooh, yeah, I could go through my clothes -- that would be a good project this afternoon, which woudln't involve a whole lot of brain cells. Cold medicine & brain, not a good combination here for me....

move out and draw fire

Oof, Theo, sick sucks.

I need to go through my clothes, but I'm in denial. They will fit me again someday! They will!

OTOH, I've been crashing around trying to get the place clean before the DH comes home tomorrow. I feel like I'm a teenager who's been throwing huge parties while the parents are away...but no, I'm just a slob with a toddler.

And the cat is annoyed. I bought him a new cat bed because his old one was NAST.Y. Of course he is eschewing the new one.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I purged three bags worth of crud clothes out of my closet well over a year ago. They're sitting next to the front door. I think it's time they got dropped off at Goodwill.

We've got a beautiful fall day here, too. Not sure of the actual temperature, but I'm guessing mid-60s. With that crisp fall air that energizes you. I drove along the lake with my car windows down after church. Made me all zen and stuff.

The stockboy in the Kroger household cleaners section told me to look in school supplies for Magic Erasers. *headdesk*

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My favourite commercial misdirection was being told at Blockbusters to look in Comedies for The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, And Her Lover.

I did once also reshelve The Basketball Diaries from the sports section.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It is a gorgeous day here -- I was overdressed in my pleather jacket and t-shirt. My plan was to go shopping down 5th Ave, but I ran into the Mexican parade, so veered over to Lex instead. Good times.

I spent a very large amount of money at Ann Taylor yesterday, but I won't have to do it again for years. I'll have to remember that when I get the credit card bill.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yay, employed shrift!
