Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The Daily Show is as substantive as the "real" news.

The evil is this way?

Be nice to my mother, Narrator. Drive down to Flanagan now, and make sure she's okay. Okay?

Drive? In this weather? How about I just think good thoughts?

Actually, off to home. TTFN

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Thank you for that link, ita! I tried to read an article about that experiment earlier, and it wouldn't load.

Cashmere, this was the part of that story that really jumped out at me:

The funds for “commemoration of success” in Iraq and Afghanistan were originally tucked into last year’s defense measure, but went unspent amid an uptick in violence in both countries that forced the Pentagon to extend tours of duty for thousands of troops.

It's not just that they've set aside money for a victory party, it's that they set it aside over a year ago, and have just been renewing it in every budget revision. I feel like someone ought to have proposed moving it into the "rebuilding houses we've blown up" fund by now.

The experiment involved for the first time a macroscopic atomic object containing thousands of billions of atoms. They also teleported the information a distance of half a meter but believe it can be extended further.

I wish I understood what that article actually means. I hate it when I know the words, but they still don't make sense to me. I wish to understand.

What is even happening?

Lee, try one of these: [link]

Actually, off to home. TTFN

Nightie. Wait. Audi.

I wish I understood what that article actually means. I hate it when I know the words, but they still don't make sense to me. I wish to understand.
Thank you, Jen. I didn't even read it, because I was afraid of wishing to understand.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

In other news, I am a big ol' book slut. In the past two days I've placed good sized orders with both my "local" mystery bookstore(it's in Fells Point, which is a good 45 minutes away, but it's the closest one) and Powells. As if I don't have enough books in the to be read sprawl.....(but they're new books!:))

Why does my body insist on having sleep? Really, I could get a hell of a lot more done if my body would just get over it. EVOLVE, ALREADY!

Bones: Is anyone watching? My channel had a hiccup between the commercial and when everyone rushed in to pick the Nerd Twins up off the floor. I'm guessing they were experiment...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

At last, I have a Benadryl. I also have to teach in 90 minutes.

What else do I have? A batsignal bandaid over the insect-bite-resembling welt on my forehead.

Oy. Is this what duck nibbles look like?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yes. Sorry.

From earlier, but I totally look for the Cash Cab whenever I'm trying to take a cab!

Does anyone else think it's weird that there is demarcation between areas of air? I mean, how does that even work? And yet, the cold front is coming in.
