I think I've realized my true problem: Back to school time has come and gone, and yet somehow I'm still supposed to be going to work all the damn time!
I still think you should go for the iBook deal at the bookstore, just because it seems like the option that will give you the least additional stress.
Whoot! I went and got a PowerBook. It was $200 more than the iBook, but this one is silver. And, um, it is apparently better in other ways as well.

I'm still feeling financially irresponsible. And I need to figure out how to configure mail and get my iTunes off the LaCie and onto this hard drive. It's probably simple, but I'll find a way to fuck it all up. Hee.

That's exactly how you feel after you have kids. Except the email part. But the financial stuff and the fucking up--totally the same.
