Monday has become TV night.... Prison Break, Heroes and Studio 60, all of which I feel the need to watch live,

Studio 60 is on Sunday's for me. Last night I taped Heroes, and I watched back to back Deadwood episodes on History Television. I had a headache and somehow, Deadwood seemed reassuring to my pounding head.

Grammar - punctuation question. Does anyone have an opinion (or cites) on using a comma v. a colon in the the salutation of a letter, e.g., Dear So-and-so : or , ?
I've always thought that the colon is for more formal (business, etc.) letters.
