Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'm watching Studio 60 and the HoYay is to Yay for in this show. Whoohoo!

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Studio 60: Just when I'm thinking "man, now there's some HoYay", then they give it a shoutout.

eta: inevitable x-post for this joint.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I just finished watching Heroes and was severely underwhelmed.

I like the characters, and I like the premise. I am ready for a plot now.

Yes. This. Though I'm not super-keen on most of the characters yet. But yeah, if next week is still more of the same, I'm done with it.

My cable even cut out in the middle of the episode due to the storm and I find myself not caring too much what I missed.

Plus, the football hit twisting Ms. Cheerleader's head completely around seemed way over the top to me. And I thought Hiro picking up the gun lying next to an obvious pool of blood was too stupid for words.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm mainly still watching Heroes because I want to know what's up with the mirror-lady. And Hiro would have known better. And the cop should have known better than to make himself look so suspicious. Also, Marcie!

Kalshane, I stopped taking Avelox halfway through. I know, not supposed to do that, but I'm convinced the stuff was causing muscle pain and weakness, which scared me. It didn't help with the cough, either. No more taking quinolone antibiotics.

So, is it now illegal for me to move my stocks around?

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Who plays Claire's creepy father?!? IMDB and the official NBC site are NOT HELPING!

On Studio 60, one thing is driving me crazy. Brad's character in named Danny and Timothy Busfield's character isn't. I find this confusing.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Quester, at least Matt's character is Matt.

I have no idea what TB's character's name is, though.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hey, physics type people. Can anyone explain how this works? [link] It's really puzzling me. (As is the horrible ad copy, but that's another story.) I can understand how you could set a compass to always point, say, northeast, or whatever, but how do you make one always point to a particular place other than one of the poles?

This helps...a little.

I didn't notice any of that. However, I did see the warnings on the label about causing drowsiness and dizziness and promptly decided it was a right before bedtime sort of medication. I had really funky dreams and some restless nights, but nothing resembling side effects during the rest of the day.

Dedicated lurker

If Claire's creepy father is "Horned Rim Glasses Man" he's played by Jack Coleman, according to Wikipedia.
