She's terse. I can be terse. Once in flight school, I was laconic.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I wear either Origins Ginger Essence [link] or Vera Wang [link] The Vera Wang I got when I went to see Ellen Degeneres and it's more girly than I usually wear, but it doesn't trigger a migraine, I get lots of compliments on it and it was free.

I like a subtle perfume to spray on right before I sail out the door. It makes me feel grown up and sophisticated.

Worse than Chaps was Brut.

Brut was my brother's cologne of choice. My dad just stuck with Old Spice aftershave.

Mom's a big fan of most perfumes from Estee Lauder (it changes every few years), and I went through phases--Charlie before I turned 16, a few others in the latter part of high school and college, then Red Door after college. But, after I got laid off my first job, I took a very short-lived job selling knockoff perfume door-to-door, and have not bought perfume since.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I wish I could remember the other men's cologne that makes my knees buckle, due to youthful whatever. It's weird, because I wasn't really into the guy, but the cologne still kills me. Drakkar makes sense, because both my first boyfriend and my serious college boyfriend wore it.

There's a lady in my office that you can smell that she had walked by, for minutes afterwards.

There are two major offenders here, both guys. And one of them walks around all the time. And his cologne gives me a headache. So much fun. The other one I think uses it to try to mask the fact he smokes, and the combo is just awful.

Wow--GOP Representative Mark Foley quits after a brewing scandal about a very squicky e-mail he sent to a 16-year-old page hit the papers/blogosphere yesterday.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

In HS, I wore Poison (I thought the ads were neat). For a while, Thierry Mugler's Angel was my One True Perfume, and then I discovered Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. Of course, my perfect scents from them were limited editions, so I now have to scour eBay for more bottles of Pink Moon and see if I can find another perfect chocolate scent. Apparently I am supposed to smell like a very expensive chocolate truffle dusted with pink sugar.

There is someone who takes the same bus home as me that douses themselves in a Drakkar knock-off. There's not enough ewww in the world, let me tell you.

Of course you are!

I am currently in the process of passive agressively trying to avoid my boss. Eh.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I wear mostly BPAL these days. Peony Moon or Luperci or Dance of Death most of the time, with occasional spottings of Osun or 13.

I should get a full 5ml of Eve, as it smells almost exactly like the perfume I used to blend for myself in college, when I was still light bright florals, before I went Expensive Headshop.

High school was White Shoulders. College started with the aforementioned self-blend, then wound up with Christian Dior's Dune. I went through a Dulce Vita period, dabbled in Goutal's Eau du Ciel, then a few years of L'Heure Bleue, then Lush Karma, then onto BPAL.

Sometimes, I use a blend of vanilla EO and neroli EO, when I remember it's there. And there's a single note Linden that's a lot like Eau du Ciel that I adore.

I have some random chocolate scents for when I'm in that mood.

Really, I'm a scent hound. But I don't wear much of it at all when I wear it. (I used to apply it by spraying a small amount on a damp cotton ball and then gently pressing that against my pulse points.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Right now I mostly wear Lush's Karma perfume, though I have a few others I occasionally use.

My first "real" boyfriend wore British Sterling... man, I loved that cologne.
