Fortunately, MTV was the only English-language channel that my vacation rental got while I was in Paris, and as a result I am now immune to all earworms because nothing will ever be able to replace "London Bridge," which is currently stuck in my head for all eternity.
When weren't they? In my day, it was Drakkar.
No guy I knew in highschool wore cologne. And in college, no straight guy I knew wore cologne.
My high-school boyfriend wore Polo and chewed Carefree Bubble Gum. Anytime I smell either, I get the same reaction Daisy Jane gets.

My brother and his friends (all straight, to my knowledge) wore the hell out of some Polo in high school. You could still smell him in the stairway when I left for school, generally about an hour or more later since I was a big old slacker.
God help me, I want to go visit a Dillard's and grab a bottle to get a "fix."
Drakkar or Cool Water were the two biggies in my HS and college - all the straight boys wore it.

Junior year boyfriend wore Chaps.
Which I can now never think of without thinking of the Folsom Street Fair.
Worse than Chaps was Brut.
HS perfumes - Lauren and L'Aire du Temps and Poison and Paris.
Colognes - Polo and Drakkar and my favorite, Eternity.
