Good lord, does Jilli know about that site? It's so her!
(I'm wearing my Perky Goth t-shirt, I feel so cool)
GA- Loved it. Love Calli taking the blame for the panties, although a "Thank You" out of Mere would have been nice. And the dancing was awesome. Ben was funny and awesome. And I love Mr. Burke. He knows his wife and knows eventually she'll think the sun rises and sets on Christina. I forsee Burke growing a set when it comes to Mama and standing up and then Mrs. Burke will see (and ok - I always that Burke's first name is Preston. Calling them Mr and Mrs Burke sound silly to me.) Poor Izzy. My heart just breaks for her, even though my mind says, "ACK ACK ACK! She can't be a doctor anymore!!" It's funny how much Addison and Mere are alike in some ways. Derek hurts them and they both get drunk and have teh sex. And Bailey BROKE me. The instant she said "Izzy?" and walked into that kitchen, the allergies started. Sigh. I love that show.
I LOVE the Charon one. And the Story Time one.
GA never fails to bring out the tears when most other shows don't. And I love it for that.
VM 301: Cindy, yeah I noticed all the clues that they dropped last season, and from the moment Hearst was raised as a possibility in the Jury episode, I knew that was where she was going to end up for college. But I just wasn't sure if I'd missed the explicit statement that she had decided where to go. Other than that, though, I really liked the episode, I loved Mac's return, especially as a main character, and the part at the end with Dick got to me in a way I didn't honestly think would happy, so that was a nice surprise. I still don't understand, though--who was Vinnie working for? Who was the guy that shot Liam's brother and CC? I wasn't paying enough attention to that storyline last season. Also, who made the decision to make us wait a month before the next episode? I really don't think that's fair.
Why not this one, Lee??
I couldn't decide between the two.
I am too asleep to think about the government right now, thank god.
I didn't get to watch GA last night, and I haven't seen the VM either. Must fix that tonight.
The term is also used in Australian English, although the term singlet is more common in Australia. In British English, the term vest is used, while "tank top" refers to a sleeveless pullover. In India, such a vest, primarily designed to be an undershirt, is called a baniyaan. The name derives from its resemblance to a tank suit, a style of one-piece women's swimsuit with shoulder straps. "Tank suit" in turn refers to "swimming tank," an obsolete term for what are now called "swimming pools."
Hmm...
I saw this thing on PBS about clothing history and they seemed to think tshirts and tank tops both entered common use when soldiers came back from WWII (or maybe WWI) where they had been underclothing. They attributed the "tank top: to men in tanks stripped down to their undershirts because they were hot.
Now I'm going to obsess on this!
By getting to ignore habeus corpus and having the ability to declare any person, including US citizens, an "enemy combatant" at will, George W has executive power that George III did not have. Those cowards who voted for the bill have failed at their most basic responsibility of safeguarding democracy against those who would usurp it.
Just imagine! Hundreds of years of this noble experiment of self-government have been subverted by one handful of fanatics with box-cutters and another handful of fanatics with Diebold machines! The good things in this world are truly fragile.
Completely random thing that has probably come up in some thread or other...but it seems bugmenot is out-o-bidness. That's weird...and unuseful.

Oh well. It was nice while it lasted.
