Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Morning, Stephanie! Did Ellie sleep through?

Sadly, no. She woke up at about 6:30. I took her and the dogs for a walk, fed her dinner, and gave her a bath. She was pretty cranky, but those activities kept the tears away. Bedtime was another story, however. She kept crying and crying and she sounded so sad, almost like she was scared or in pain. I was a bit tired myself, so I just crawled into bed with her and we both went to sleep, eventually.

eta: How are you feeling this morning? Hopefully better?

eta, again: If Ellie and I are ever going to make it to church, I need to go get ready, so sorry for disappearing.

I'm doing ok. I'm in problem-solving mode. We'll see when/how it hits me once I can kind of stop for a minute and assess things more clearly. Thanks for asking.

Have fun at church!

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Good morning! I had a lovely brunch at the crepe place around the corner with a friend of mine. It's lovely weather--a little overcast, but not as cold as last week, so we were able to sit outside. I had a really nice cappuchino, and we split a nutella crepe. Heaven.

That sounds lovely, SA!

move out and draw fire

Morning - I just got up from a nap, so it feels like morning again.

Man, I have spent a LOT of money this weekend, but I think all my Christmas shopping is done.

It was very nice! I reccomend nutella crepes or waffles to everyone this morning.

Raq, I've started to think about Christmas presents too, but I particularly want *light* ones because shipping the stuff home is going to be unpleasantly expensive. Luckily I already have two, and I have only 9 or 10 people to buy for.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

No nutella, here, but I did make maple pecan pancakes with apple butter. They were teh yum, too.

I started my Christmas shopping yesterday, too! Great minds think alike. Fortunately, I have only 6 people to shop for (well, 7 if I count the SiL, which I'd really rather not.)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Who actually manages to get the nutella spread onto anything before eating it? The stuff gets as far as the knife, but the knife always misses the bread and goes into my mouth.
