Just CRANKY PANTS, very unusually for him, but not feverish or anything.It sounds like a tooth, particularly since it's sharp. It's a weird place for a first tooth, but I think that's most likely. I'd just keep an eye on it, unless he starts acting otherwise unwell. CRANKY PANTS is probably a good sign in this instance.

Ellie's bottom center teeth came in first, but when the first one came in, it seemed off-center to me, like maybe it was one of the side-teeth. I can't imagine it's anything but a tooth. I think Cindy's right - as long as he's acting like he's teething, it's probably fine.
