Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Kristin is there anyway you could thank him for thinking of you and wanting to make you welcome but very politely explain that since this is you and ND's first year together in the new house you are hoping to start some new traditions including decorating the house. And leave the lights up for a little while and then take them down?

askye, thanks for the advice. I ended up writing her a brief email thanking her for thinking of us and asking nicely if we could be part of the decorating process next time around.

Landlady T. rocks like a rocking thing. I doubt she even knew what her dad was up to, and I know she'll take it in the spirit it's intended.

ION, sj, you SO don't suck. You are sick, sweetie. Get some sleep if you can. You know that your T. will understand.

Home from thrilling trip to SF. I parked in the City Center parking lot only to discover the Big Dawg was speaking in the plaza, stumping votes for Prop 87 (I think). The show was great, though Huey Lewis was underwhelming. The rest of the cast was spectacular.

Now I hace to stay up til midnight (on purpose) in case mom needs me to help her with her dialysis machine. So damned tired.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Can't sleep. Think clowns did eat me.

And not in the good way.

Also, Happy, at this point belated, Birthday, Ginger!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Happy Birthday, Daniel!

Thanks to all who wished me thus. I am still catching up.

Wait, it's Daniel's birthday... huh? What?

This from the woman who bought me a cell phone and an 18-inch gargoyle.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

So, I've been reading up on Zombies.

This past weekend, the neighborhood next to mine (the funky, fun one that had the fire-breathing, burlesque-girls carnival for the 4th of July) had a Clean Up the Neighborhood day, which involved picking up garbage, basically.

But first, all the volunteers gathered in the park, and they were turned into zombies (sadly, it was just a makeup artist, not a voudoun priest or anything), and THEN the zombies cleaned up the neighborhood.

How fun is THAT?!?

Boo insomnia!

Hooray beer! t points to tagline

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

argh. cold, wet commute today.

sj, you do not suck, but I know where you're coming from- when Tom and I went to visit his friends in NoCA I got super sick halfway through the visit and had to send them out for the grown ups only celebrational dinner without me, which totally sucked.

I mainly medicated with kind bud. So good for the upset stomach! Ah, California.

GC- OMG love the costume!

Now, back to my funk. Funk funk funk. And not the fun kind either.

Icky rainy morning. I screwed up my alarm for the second morning in a row. While I overslept yesterday, I looked at my clock at 5:03 this morning and got moving on my own. Yay, me?

Why the funk, Nora?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Give up the funk
