Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

First world complaint:

You know how many of you feel about gauchos? You don't understand them, you don't like the way they look, and you kind of feel sorry for anyone who wears them and thinks they look good? Well I feel that way about icicle lights. I despise them. I think they are tacky and ugly and lower the property value of your dwelling and all of the dwellings around you. When ND and I were house hunting this summer, we could practically gauge the crime rate by the icicle light to house ratio.

I'm sorry if you love them, and I assure you that I still love you despite your icicle lights much the way you love me despite my gauchos. But I would never ever force you to wear gauchos yourself, you know?

I came home from work, and it looks like the landlord's sweet, retired father left us a special early holiday surprise on the entire front of our cute little house. Guess what it is?

I could just cry.

Absolutely awful, vw. My insides are burning.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy Birthday Ginger!

There's a phenomenal amount of buffista and buffistalet cuteness!

It's sweet that your landlord's dad wanted to do something he thought was nice for you, Kristin. But, yeah, decor is a pretty individual thing. Sorry. Maybe you could tell him your ecological beliefs prohibit decorative lighting?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Are icicle lights the clear twinkley ones? Or the hangy down ones?

The hangy down ones.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks for the Goth wedding suggestions. Candles are out as she's allergic, but the wines are a possibility, as is a gift cert to their fave restaurant. I think I can make up a decent gift basket of consumables/useables.

My ex wanted to put icicle lights on our house. I was okay with the orange Halloween lights, but I had to put my foot down about the icicle lights.
