'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Adorable pictures all.

Halloween in Temple Bar consisted mostly of the adults looking like hookers (of both genders--I passed a gaggle of men dressed as women just near my house. a couple were actually pretty respectable looking) going to parties and generally being loud. It was interesting to see the sheer number of angel wings and stilettos, though.

I took the day off today, because I fell up the stairs as soon as I made it inside my apartment building. The sad part is that I hadn't drank anything last night. I bruised my knee and wrist a little, but when I woke up this morning I was just, no. No work today. So the falling-upwards thing made a very nice excuse to call in.

I woke up at noon, and so far all I've done is make coffee and eat breakfast. The day's plans include: grocery store; checking out the record shop a guy at last night's show rec'd to me; signing up for Yuletide; and watching tv.

It's days like this I miss the food network most miserably.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Happy birthday Ginger! How's your tooth- been able to get to the dentist to get the inlay replaced?

Cute kids of all ages, from Liv to K-Bug! I liked the zombie pirate.

LOVED Aimee's costume! It made me smile.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Emeline and Lilian are so cute in their costumes! Suzi's big kids are quite cute too. Great scary mask, Suzi. I loved Aimee's and Plei's costumes.

Ann, that's a ferret.

We got about 30 trick-or-treaters. Had candy for far more than that (Hubs decided to overbuy), so my office is getting a lot of chocolate today.

Max, as usual, was a hit. Was petted, which pleased him. Even convinced one parent to want to adopt a Himalayan to keep her current cat company.

Because we had so much candy, we (well, I, because I was the one who always went to the door) ignored the rules on who to give to.

the words "overbuy" and "candy" can be used in the same sentence?

Oof. Forgot about the pediatrician appointment this morning at ten. Good thing DH called to remind me.

I liked the zombie pirate

This was particularly cool.

Our wings are not tired.

What a wonderful way to start the day! Thanks for all the pictures. Beautiful children, several HOTT mamas. Dads were cute too. Wow!

I bought for 80 kids. The last few years weren't very heavy. The last 2 years we had a lot of hurricane debris and it wasn't very safe. Before that other things kept it light. Last night, lots and lots of itty bitty kids. So cute. And lots of teens. I give to all of the kids, not parents.

My boys brought home lots of loot. Bobby went with neighbors on a golf cart. He really made out well. Brendon went with friends and I think they hung out more than anything else. He brought home a decent stash though. He also came home wearing a lovely oriental robe that some girl gave him. I have to track her down because no doubt her mother would like it back.

Brendon got his hair sheared in celebration of making the basketball team. Some girl at school talked to him for 5 minutes without knowing it was him. She squealed when another kid walked up and said his name. Like there are so many boys his size around that walk up to her and chat. Observant much?
