Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm getting the pig!

Aw. Owen still fits into his elephant costume! The close-up of him in that costume last year was my favoritest picture ever.

Adorable kidlets you have there, Cash.

Yay for scariest costume winning, Suz!!!

Thrive to spite them

Cutieheads!!

I bought candy but realized that there weren't going to be trick or treaters at my house so I went to Mom's....it was hard trying to get any kids to come down there. Finally I just gave up and went to the two busy streets in the neighborhood and started giving out candy calling myself the "Mobile Treater". On one street the people just sit outside their houses and it's sort of a block party thing going on, it's very popular and families come from all over. I heard one couple say they'd spent over $200 on candy. THere were lots of cute costumes and one little girl that looked like Lillian. It freaked me out at first.

I was a little frustrated to see how many pre teens and teenagers were out (a couple of which looked like they were dressed like cheap street walkers), I didn't give candy to any of them. And I had a problem with a couple of parents -- I didn't have a lot of candy and one Mom just grabbed a handful after her kids already got some. I tried to be polite and told her I didn't have a lot and was only giving out 1 piece per trick or treater.

There were 2 hobbits --- one who was Frodo, who got so excited becuase I was the only person who recognized him. He even had the ring around his neck.

brillig

I just had a couple of teenagers come by, but I gave them candy. They were the last pair and they were dressed up, so I gave them points for chutzpah and gave up the sweets.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I went to go see Phantom of the Opera (Lon Chaney version) at the Kennedy Center, then walked by a whole bunch of trick-or-treaters on the way back. Lots of them were teenagers or older (college area -- a lot of undergrads were trick-or-treating) and the few youngers kids I saw were barely dressed up -- regular clothes with a boa or crown or something.
