I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Buffy ,'Lessons'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Is ChiKat around? Didn't she have thyroid cancer?

I've been out of town and had to skip madly, but I did catch this. Yes, I did have thyroid cancer (3 years cancer free, will be having my tests to confirm the 4th year in a couple of weeks). So, Sean, if you or your mom has any questions, feel free to ask.

I had surgery and radiation and that pretty well took care of it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

GC, those pictures killed me ded.

I am actually starting to feel almost human and keeping liquids down. Hopefully this means the whole trip will not be ruined and I can still take T out for her birthday. I am actually lucky to be with a friend who gets these all the time. It almost makes me feel guilty for wishing TCG was here.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

demi-meara:

Raq, what everyone else said. Mal is pushing limits because it's his time to push, he's not retarded, and Baby Center always seems like a good idea at the time but it never really is.

Sean, I'm so glad your mom has a (comparatively) easy fix and a good prognosis ahead, and is in such good spirits. Much ~ma to her (extra concentrated, since IIRC we're in the same city, or at least the same general region).

Also, because I've been baby-distracted and laggardly, tons of ~ma to Plei's mom and much hugging and petting and cosseting to Plei herself (and her mom if she so desires, but I feel funny offering petting to someone I don't know, so ~ma seemed safer).

And happy anniversary, Jilli and Pete! May the coming year bring you even greater joy and adorability than all the previous ones.

And happy birthday, Daniel, mighty mover of major appliances.

And now, off with Matilda to the drugstore for a bag of Halloween candy (infant seat+stroller+sunny day=sound-asleep baby). Today is not as bad as yesterday. Please, please, may it continue so.

Gods, I'm boring lately (boring or, more often, lurky, since it's easy enough to read along while holding a fussy baby but much harder to touch-type even boring posts).

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Lillian hasn't been able to go to sleep on her own since 7 months. I'm always a little jealous of anyone with a kid who will.

One of these days, I'll have my bed back.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I just won "scariest costume". Luckily that is what I was going for.

Didn't mean to scare the board quiet.

I'm going to take my costume and go home.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Seriously, I'm totally comfortable with it, but being the big doofus I am I would totally be self-conscious about the apartment.

Heh. Ok. Please remember that they aren't all gazillionaires! Plus, they babysit for Archer faculty all the time, so they're used to our poor little lifestyles. ;-)

(Had to use the emoticon. I blame Halloween or possibly the immense amount of sugar I've eaten today.)
