Angel: Yeah, I never told anyone about this, but I-I liked your poems. Spike: You like Barry Manilow.

'Hell Bound'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Laundry folded and put away. Drawers culled for stuff I don't wear anymore. DH has the sock pile for matching purposes (socks are ebil).

Now to take the pins off my jersey so I can wash it before putting it away for the offseason.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My connecting flight is delayed because they have to fix something on the plane. I wish they wouldn't tell me that type of thing.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

when they say fix sj - that could mean lightbulbs in the passanger compartment- so no fretting.

Matt is mowing the lawn - which is good. but I feel like I should be outside doing stuff while he mows, but mowing is bad for asthma. so that would be bad to go outside. but I feel guilty anyway. stoopid brain

My last flight was delayed because the "level of blue water in the toilet was below normal". Everyone on the plane was willing to hold it until we landed, but they still had to have maintence come out and fix it.

Trust my rage

Congrats, Lyra Jane! Ellie was born on June 4th, so I'm hoping your babe comes a few days early!

I'm getting the pig!

Congrats, Lyra Jane!

Cass and Libkitty - have a fun time together! Oh, you should go to the candy store and check up on A.

InMeNews - Napping is a lovely thing. I'm awake but only slightly, having moved from the bed to the couch. Must wake up and actually Do Stuff today. Perhaps hot tea and some food will help.

ETA: Anne - I've been doing that Funny Farm thing that you linked to off and on since yesterday. I still only have 11 answered. Grrr.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Back home from 5 days spoiling mom. She has been back and forth to Chicago taking care of my uncle who is on a feeding tube recovering from surgery for esophogeal cancer and really deserved to be taken care of. Did LOTS of home repairs, drove hither and yon (including a 2 1/2 hour sojourn stuck in traffic on the beltway one evening) to visit with many relatives in many locations, and went out to the movies and a reception for my aunt. Got up at 5:45 East Coast time to fly home and am now back on Cali time and am way wicked tired. Told the DH that I am going to lie around like a flounder today and catch up with tv and email.

ETA: I noticed on the airplane TV that there is a "House" marathon on USA all day today, for those of us of an indolent inclination.

Our wings are not tired.

Mmmm House. Hugh Laurie was on SNL last night. He has lovely legs.
