I gave her everything... jewels, beautiful dresses -- with beautiful girls in them.

Spike ,'Sleeper'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Healing~ma for Bitch moms.

I didn't do the horrid thing last night. It's really icky, and I feel like a very bad person. I'm about to repeat a rumor that will be pretty hurtful (though one from a pretty reliable source. I mean if it weren't true, it would make this person a liar, and I just don't think she is). It's gross, the situation I mean. I'd really rather talk to the person it is about, but I don't really know her well enough to call her up and have a heart to heart.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Continued ~ma for Matt's mom.

We have leaks again thanks to this glorious New England weather. We're trying to clean and organize stuff, and I am trying to pack. I hate leaving TCG to deal with this stuff.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Sorry for the leaks, sj. I hope it all gets sorted without messing up your stuff.

DJ, can you just let it lie till you find out the facts? Why do you have to be the dissemination point for icky rumor, whether or not it's true, half-true, true with some good reason, or true with stupid reasons? The rumor mill operates quite well independently of one individual's input, I find.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I guess because if it's true, it's life and death. I've decided to let Mr. Jane do it over lunch, with the caveat that it is possibly not true.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I hope it goes well, DJ. And causes no undue pain to anyone.

beth, ~ma to Matt's mom and all of you.

Kittenish crawled up on my chest last night and settled there for the night. So cute. I just finally shut the laptop and snoozed off while petting her. Like a teddy bear that purrs and occasionally grooms.

Best of luck with it, then, for you and Mr. Jane.

Kittenish is beyond cute. Now I want a teddy bear that purrs.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I love my purring teddy bear, too!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Healing~ma for Bitch moms.

What she said.

Harvey is now purring up a storm while draped across my shoulder and down into my lap. And resting one foot on the desk. Cat-draping logistics vary quite a bit around here, as Daniel has more shoulder for the draping to be over.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Ok, I need support brains. Last friday Landlady-Upstair's dog barked for an hour and a half while she was gone. Today, said dog has already been barking for an hour. Beyond that, what do I say in the note?

Because books.

Good news, Plei!

Much health ~ma to Plei and Matt's moms.

Beyond that, what do I say in the note?

That's hard. Maybe a possible solution, such as "Have you tried leaving the TV or radio on for Dog's Name?"

I've heard that works, but I'm sure it depends on the animal. Other than that, I've got nothing.
