Wesley: Hey. Hey, Gunn. Is something weird going on? … Charles, you just peed on my shoes. Gunn: I'll be damned. That's weird.

'Life of the Party'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

YAY for Teppy and her Boy!

Our library system is really good and has great programs for teens -- including Manga Mondays. Which means they have a great selection of manga and graphic novels/trades but there's usually a waiting list.

I had bad stuff/good stuff/iffy stuff happen. First going down to the parking lot I tripped and fell on gravel, luckily I was wearing pants so the damage to my knee isn't too bad. Then I got my first new paycheck with the raise earlier than expected! Unfortunatly way more taxes than I expected are being taken out because of the raise. It looks like more will be taken out each week than was taken out in 1 two week paycheck. Maybe I filled out my w4 form wrong or something. So it looks like instead of having a raise with a nice cushion to live on, if I stay at this job with the increase in my health insurance I'll be stuck at living by the skin of my teeth.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Mom just called to vent about things that are Not Me. Then I mentioned my finger stabbing last night.

"I know they are called finger sandwiches but you don't put actual fingers in them."

Mom is fun-knee. And a brat.

Ack, askye! Check your withholding and I hope you end up getting more money per check.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Tep, that's not only hugely, weirdly romantic, it's exactly and quintessentially you.

Yes, this. YAY! Tep-schmoop is a thing of violent beauty.

What they said!!!!!! YAY Carrots!

Also, Yay for found wallets.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Owen is particularly destructive when it comes to books--much to my shame. He chewed his board books to bits and I had to put away the childrens' books with pages. He got a fabulous copy of "Where's My Teddy" only to tear about three pages in the first five minutes he was looking at it. I went to Half Price Books and bought him a board book version for now. The are actually a lot of regular books on the high shelf in his closet waiting patiently.

He has board book versions of a wide variety of childrens' books and he loves them. He's starting to be less destructive and when I think he's ready, I'll start letting him borrow books from the library. Until then, he gets an assortment of new, used, garage sale and freecycle books.

Liv, of course, is on board books right now and I just bought her two Olivia books.

My parents were big fans of the library, since I went through books way too fast for them to keep up a steady supply. I had a cousin who could care less about books but his mother filled this HUGE, wall-sized book case with every imaginable childrens' book title. I always found an excuse to go "play" with him and read his books.

Owen is just a voracious reader...
I always found an excuse to go "play" with him and read his books.
I would have as well.

Cass -- I'm definitly making more money. And if it weren't for the stupid health insurance plan I'd be fine. It's just really expensive because it's an HMO non group plan that just got raised to over $400/mth. The temp agency I'm now with offers insurance but that doesnt' cover mental health so it's worthless to me. Stupid ass bipolar disorder.

It's just frustrating because I thought I'd have about $100 extra a month (after paying the insurance) to play with and that extra money is going to taxes.

And I'm not actually sure how to find out if the with holding choices I made are the best.

My hero!

Goodness, but this working thing is tiring. However was it that I used to do this, anyway? I like it pretty well though. Nice is big in the nonprofit sector and I'm treated well. I get to see the giraffes painted on the freeway supports at my exit. Plus I think I'm in job heaven, because the phone did not ring once all day long. Just peace and quiet and data entry, oh my.

Ooops.
