Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Lutherans?
betwixt me and The Boy, the L word was invoked?
Limerick? Right on!
Kidding.
What Nora said. And also what P-C and T!C said.
I'm so glad the two of you like licorice.
Yay, Teppy!!!
betwixt me and The Boy, the L word was invoked?

The Buffistas, making merry sport with each others' big moments since 199--something.
Clearly, Tep and the Boy were talking about leprechauns.
::secretly sighs. awwww::
Nicole, thank you. We know the rest of them are nosy, too. They're just not able to admit to it.

Uh, it was actually kind of funny, in the Only-Teppy-Would-Do-This way. I had freaked out about something big -- nothing that The Boy did purposely, and not to be coy, but that's as much as I want to say about it -- and The Boy was calming me down and being generally soothing.
At one point -- after I had calmed down -- he asked, "Does it bother you that I haven't said 'I love you'?"
And I said, "No, because I don't want to hear something that isn't true, and I figure that when you're ready -- IF you're ready -- that's when you'll say it."
Boy: "I just thought that, since *you* already said it...."
At which point I interrupted and asked, "Pardon me?"
Boy: "Didn't you?"
Me: "I think I'd remember that! Was this one of those while-I-was-asleep things?"
Boy: "No! ....you didn't?"
Me: "Pretty sure I didn't."
Boy: "Huh. Well, I didn't mind it. I mean, if you *had* said it."
Me: "You 'didn't mind'? How romantic."
Boy: "Well, you know...."
Me: "Yeah, I do."
A little bit later, I decided oh, what the hell, and said, all in one big rush, "Okay, since you don't mind and if you change your mind and decide that you DO mind I'm going to kick your ass -- I love you."
And The Boy laughed -- not in a mean way, but really, I had just threatened to kick his ass and then told him I loved him -- and got quiet, and asked "Do you know what you're getting into when you say that?"
Me: "Um, I'm already into it, if you hadn't noticed the past YEAR or so."
Boy: "True. Well." long pause "I love you." pause "I do."
He sounded to me like he was trying to convince himself, or that he was saying it because he thought he should, but I didn't press it.
So I was feeling kind of unsure and weird. Not the kind of giddy "He WUVS me!" feeling you'd expect.
Last night, I was at his house, and I can't even remember what I said, or what I did -- we were just sitting at the kitchen table, not talking about Us, just talking about random stuff -- and something I said made him stop in the middle of the conversation and say, "Damn, I love you." And *that* made me feel all giddy.
