When we landed here you said you needed a few days to get space worthy again and is there somethin' wrong with your bunk?

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Ugh, lisah, that sounds way more uncomfortable than anything your ear should be allowed to do.

Laura, whoohoo for Brendon! Very sorry to hear about his friend, though. I think middle school is the toughest on kids, but it also sets the tone for your high school years. Poor schmuck.

{{Achey Painful Bitches}} Sounds like winter is already taking a toll. I prescribe chicken soup. With a shot of white wine in it.

Because books.

Go, Brendan! His poor friend, though -- that's rough.

Wait, are you honestly staying, like, a whole week? Because that should give me ample time to meet you at some point, right?

Indeed I am, and yes, it should. (I'll be working at UCSF Mon-Thurs, but evenings will be free for seeing people)

Lisa, that sounds horrid! I hope not being in the hospital means you're feeling a bit better?

And now I must head off to work. Sigh.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I'm at work. Head is still hurty, though not to the same degree as yesterday. Me no likey.

Lisah, when you know your dates for your SF venture, pop me an e-mail. I'd love to get a bunch together for you, if possible.

Our wings are not tired.

And it is cool here this morning. Like 60s!! Brendon and I turned on our seat warmers for the ride to school and he wore a hoody. Yay Fall!

His friend stayed home sick today. I think GF and I need to drag the boys to our aerobics class tonight and see if we can amuse them. Nothing like the 2 of them mocking their fat mamas to cheer them. It's an open class at the community center so they can attend.

And I am headed back home to shower and eat breakfast. I came to the office early to fix a problem. Now that other people are here I can run home.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I had vestibular neuronitis once. It sucked ASS. It took me over a week to not throw up whenever I rolled over in bed. Bleh. I went to the ER, too and they said, "Virus. You'll get over it. Here's some meclizine. Bye."

lisah, with good care (yay moms!) and some time, I hope it's over quickly.

Back-ma for Nora.

Laura, congrats to Brendon! Getting on as a freshman is really something. I'm sorry for his friend. It's too bad because team sports can really help kids get over self-centered ideas and teach cooperation. I hope he does stay active in something, though.

I wasn't sport oriented (read, coordinated or athletic) but my twin sister was. I basically managed every sport team she was on--basketball and cross country all though high school, which was kind of nice for both of us.

One kid's napping, one kids beside me snacking and a huge basket of laundry is sitting in front of me on the table. It's mocking me with it's unfoldedness.

{{{lisah}}} Vertigo sounds really awful. I hope it goes away quickly. I'm glad you have your mom there to take care of you.

Laura, congratuations to Brendon for making the team! Best of luck to him in high school.

It seems I can't stay up until 1am anymore without feeling all groggy and weird. When did that happen?

What is even happening?

My word. I'd never heard of this horrible thing, and find out in the same morning that three people I know have had it. I'm going to obsess about getting this for the rest of my days.

OK, I'm leaving work shortly and will be having a massage at 3pm.

{{{Nora}}} I hope the massage helps.
