Mal: Well said. Wasn't that well said, Zoe? Zoe: Had a kind poetry to it, sir.

'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Art Crawl!!!

ION, I spent so much time on the sofa resting and elevating my injured leg that I now have a sore neck and shoulder.

Sigh.

Vortex, when exactly will you be here and available? I need to make reservations ASAP--they may already be sold out.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I have to join in on the awesome day bandwagon. I'm at a wonderful, fascinating conference; it's in sunny CA, so it's the first concentrated sun I've had in ages; and best of all, I had dinner at a lovely, funky place with Java Cat, Sparky and Sparky's DH. Librarians, sun and buffistas. It just doesn't get better than that.

One thing at the conference made me laugh. As a side discussion, the speaker was talking about using blogs for marketing library services, particularly screencasts. He mentioned a couple of options, and then, to make the point of considering your audience, he said he didn't know if LJ would be effective because it was all teens posting their diaries. (This wouldn't be effective because the audience in the session was almost all special and academic librarians - no school or public.) Anyway, I had no idea you all were so very young!!

On re-read, this may not be hysterically funny. I may be a bit myopic right now. Dang, I just love hanging out with librarians, though!!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I can't complain much about the day, either. Spent the day in the sun, surrounded by a bunch of sports fans. Then came home and watched some baseball.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Where did you end up staying, Vortex?

Cool! You can go here to purchase in advance. I recommend ordering the tickets from the shuttle at the Zoo rather than Hollywood and Highland. The last tickets are at 5 or 5:30, so if that's not late enough, you might want to get weekend tickets. If you go on the weekend, I'll totally go with you.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I will have one with the olive salad, one without.

The one without will be the tasty sandwhich which is not a muffaletta.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

(Olive salad is gross.)

Why am I still awake? I took some Tylenol PM. Isn't supposed to actually put me to sleep?

Tomorrow, if I've still got this insomnia, I'll take Benadryl. No real allergy problems now, but it seems like it's the only thing that'll actually put me to sleep. I figure using it once in a while to get my sleep schedule back on track can't really hurt.
