Elliot: I thought I said discreet. Gwen: What, do you see nipple?

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Nora, your $900 return over two years from a $5K initial investment is equivalent to an annualized return of 8.6%. This is in a 401(k) or something similar? Used to be an annualized return of 10% was "normal" for stock investments, but I don't think that's a sound assumption anymore.

How lucky for me y'all decided to talk about money yesterday! I'm getting an inheritance soon (it's more money than I've ever made in a year, but less than DH makes, so I don't know how to describe its size - sometimes it seems small and manageable, sometimes it seems huge and overwhelming) and have to decide what to do with the money. I've never had that 6 month cushion that everyone says you should have, so I'm planning to set that aside immediately. Then I'll be paying off some debt - I have the signature loan that allowed us to move to California and is pretty high interest, and credit card debt, and the surprise student loan that DH didn't know he had, and maybe the car though that is almost paid off already. I think that will leave me with some to stick in an ING account to go towards a downpayment.

ION, I have a found a non-fat yogurt that is sweetened with fruit juice that is really tasty. Continental. Possibly too sweet for the people that really want plain yogurt +fruit and no extra sugar at all, but delish for me.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

That looks like a good yogurt. and a good plan.

Question of the weekend - what music do you clean to? DH has chosen the Doobie brothers for this session I think almost anything they use on Supernatural would be good. and I have a friend that prefers the pointer sisters.

I like a little Gretchen Wilson. Redneck Woman is a hideous song with great cleaning power!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My apartment is wee enough, and cleaning it is [gulp] rare enough, that I don't always use cleaning music. When I do use some, classic Aerosmith gets it done.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Is anyone planning on wearing shudders to type the word leggings? I keep seeing they are back, but have only seen them on teenagers so far. I ain't going there, I can tell you that much.

My 1986 self will have to travel through time, club me over the head, and pull the leggings on over my cold, unconscious shins.

I see them at school All. The. Time. Under dresses and skirts. It's...um...hideous. Ok. That's judgmental. It's not a style I like.

move out and draw fire

Yay, Matilda is a Perfectly Normal Human Worm Baby! I'm glad it fits.

Just back from the embassy Halloween party. The not-as-D-as-all-that-at-the-moment-H bailed at the last minute, so I had my hands full with handing out candy and Mal management and didn't get many photos. But here's Mal in costume just before the party: [link]

Hi! My name is Aimee and I wear every bad 80's fashion choice!

These are not the leggings you're looking for. Move along.
