Stop that right now! I can hear the smacking!

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

(I need to start mearaing my mearas, because I Keep Forgetting Stuff!)

Word. Sorry, Stephanie. I feel your pain - we regularly had squirrels wander in.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm trying to change that though. Teacup Guy is so very saving money and not being spendy.

Tom was a very good influence on me.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I can't believe no one wants to even comment on the fact that I had to chase a live bird and pick up a dead bird from inside my house this morning.

I shuddered and didn't comment, but what I thought was, "Stephanie is stronger than me because I would have totally freaked out, called Teacup Guy, and gone to the mall until he took care of it.

brillig

I've got an annuity from a 401k rollover from a job I left nearly 15 years ago. Unfortunately, the fees for putting that into something that makes decent interest would wipe out half of it. Though I got a letter this morning saying it's now owned by Nationwide. I think it's time to call them again and see if there's a way to move that. I keep forgetting I have that, since it's not something I'll see for years yet. Currently it's sitting at less than one year's salary at my piddly current wage level.

Yeah, I think we're having a good influence on each other. I think more before I spend money and have been more aggressive about paying down debt. He is learning that he can afford the occasional dinner out and some nice things. I have always been a bargain shopper, but I have also always bought too many bargains. These last couple of years have really been a learning experience for me. I never planned out meals or bought large amount of groceries before we started dating. I have really had to teach myself how to do all that and what is a good price on food items, etc.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Stephanie, there are days I'm glad our cat is not a huntress.

My sister's is. I was letting her in the back door once, and she looked kind of funny. She's a very slender, sleek black cat, and her head looked funny, kind of jowly.

So I grab her as she tries to snake past me, give her a bit of a shake. She opens her mouth, and out pops an entire bird. Alive and apparently unharmed. It sort of shook itself off and hopped out the door, while the cat gave me such a look of grim death I'm surprised I'm here to tell the tale.

I have also always bought too many bargains.

There is danger in that and I've been flirting with it way too much most of my life. See, credit card debt that is eating me starting with my bottom.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Roommate is watching Love Actually, which, a) way too early in the year, b) kind of crap film anyway, and c)we're at the part where Colin goes to america, which always makes me wince so freaking hard.

On the upside, I've made fried chicken and barley-stuffed butternut squash for dinner. Which, yum.

Really? I am not at all knowledgeable about 401K rollovers, but when I took an old one from a job I left 10 years ago (they finally were like, HEY, manange your own damn money!) and rolled it over into an IRA (with ING) it didn't cost me anything. The taxes and penalties are only for if you cash out... though maybe you are talking about something else?

Ann, that's a ferret.

One thing that helped me start saving was the automatic transfer. I set it up with the bank to put a certain amount in savings every payday.

Admittedly, this is an answer for "I have income and don't know where it all goes" and not for "my income doesn't even cover the necessary bills."
